The Following Curricula is rooted in Exploration, Growth and Discovery
The following curricular piece is deeply ingrained in the idea that children flourish when given the chance to give shape and form to an idea based on personal experiences. Students excel when situations are set up within the learning arena for them to take an assertive approach to linguistically and visually take part in an academic discourse about society. Art and literature will serve as a medium for students to find their own voices and make informed creative decisions. The curriculum also focuses on the principle that visual communication, including writing, transcends spoken communication. Therefore, it can serve as a basic representation of human thought. Also, creativity is explored as the most important form of human intellect. The overall idea is to develop the competence of children to analyze literature and artwork. Once the main idea of the text or artwork is examined, students will be able to aesthetically respond to it.
